has anyone had any experience with the KKK K04 or K16 turbos??
It seems Garrett or nothing for xud's but the maps look good...especially the K16.

The K16 is most famous, it seems, for being fitted to the Focus RS. but is used in few mercs too

 thoughts?

There's another turbo that's fitted to an older version of a car mentioned in this thread that's usually discarded by most, but would make an AWESOME turbo for an XUD9 if they want to stick with a conventional WG turbo...

		There wasn't a K16 fitted to a Mk1...

The focus rs comes with a gt2560rs, though having spoken to a few rs owners they have said its a gt2860rs. But I remember Ruan saying in another thread that garrett changed the names of the gt series.

I have been on the hunt for one, at a good price.

TECHNICALLY yes, in old speak the turbo that's on the Focus Mk1 RS is a GT28R... BUT - in new language, it's a GT2560R
 NOT a GT2560RS...

		It's an R...
RS would mean it has a bigger turbine wheel, which it doesn't... That's actually why it's more suited to the XUD9...

Notice the criteria for a GOOD turbo for an XUD9...

Off a SMALL petrol engine producing GOOD horsepower... Think about the reasoning for this

dang....someone has busted my plan already....
I actually have a focus rs gt2560r lined up for the 2.1...

after hours of swimming through maps, I seemed to keep coming back to it.

and you are right chap, its the R not RS...that was a later turbo

Seeing as I already run a t25 off a Nissan 300zx, I thought the gt25 was the next logical step.
Found a few on some nissans but the focus one looked the best option.

My new turbo is a member of the GT25 family. Hopefully it should blow pretty well.
