Running veg? Power loss?

Is it just me, or is there a little 'top end' power loss when using veg?

Im running it for the first time.

yes . .more so in the cold weather, it will also show up any week points in the piping and such, normal to spring a leek or 2 soon after starting to use veg . .

Yes. Veg has about 6% less calories by volume than diesel and if you couple this with the losses of having to pump a thicker fuel then that accounts for the loss in power.

try and get sunflower or rapeseed oil rather than veg, both thinner and sunflower smells great . .
save about 25 quid per fill up at veg at a pound per litre . . .

When i run veg in (especially in this weather and at a high concentration), the pump struggles to suck it up at the higher rev range, can see the ipp gauge dropping all over the place and dynamic advance getting stuffed.

Got bio on the pump local at 114p/litre which is a nice compromise and is pretty thin, still smells of chips though!

LOL im saving almost £30 a fill up. Veg is 90ppl and diesel is 137ppl saving me 47ppl on a tank which is a little over 60l

veg at JJ foods is just under 18 pounds for 20 litres and sunflower oil is 2x5 litre for 10 pounds at tesco . ..

well being as it's a 60 litre tank i'd put a little less in, put the petrol in half way through as well to mix it in nice, a litre of petrol will do it . .

My locals have said they would do the ktc for £19 20l.

Strange though, the veg comes in steel drums, where as costco have it in plastic containers.(both 20l)

I wonder if costco is cheaper than tesco? Might just get households from there too!

Costco used to do the veg in steel drums, was more expensive than the plastic jobbers so no-one bought it, lol!

There's a bunch of ways to get a costco card, you need to work for one of like 100 or so companies to be able to get a car.
BT, royal mail, NHS, police etc

If you don't work for em, find someone that does - get them to sign up and then get yourself a second card on their account.

Tea coffee and sugar are ridiculously cheap. i pay less than a penny a tea bag for PG tips and buy from there for work (i run tea club)

Its worth having a card if you have the storage space to be able to buy in bulk and are buying stuff that you use alot of wont go off.

Most chippies will buy it from frylite or other companies who have it in the contract that they get the used stuff back.

Chinese's might be more likely to help you out, but certainly if you see frylite containers in the back its basically a no go!
