So, I'm pretty sick of only driving around Birmingham, and miss the countryside so I fancy going on a decent drive, followed by a nice walk.
So, suggestions, I guess the most convenient/closest I've found so far is the peak district, including Snake Pass, and going for a walk up Kinder Scout or something.
Any other suggestions? The closer the better, but I'm happy to drive for a couple hours each way. I've thought about Wales (either Snowdonia or the Black Mountains), or going for the trek up to the Dales or Lakes.
I reckon I'll do it in a day, but if it's worth the trek I might try and find somewhere to stay.
