		What studs have you bought?

Only reason I ask is I assume you're planning on tracking the car? Cheap studs have been known to fail, I have cheap ones on the estate and while it hardly gets pushed, especially round corners, the threads have started to round slightly from removing/refitting the wheels...

Ive bought normal ones M12 x 1.25 by 40 or 50mm IIRC from Speed Shack.

IMHO theyer no more likely to break than any wheel bolt of the same grade steel. I think alot of peoples issues have been caused by not running the correct spigot rings, having dodgy spacers, incorrectly balanced wheels, poorly torqued studs/nuts or the wrong seat nuts etc.

Theyer from speed shack so theyll be a suitable automotive grade of steel.

Theres a set on Jonnys estate that have been on for 18 months and I assume are still fine and they had several months of me trying my best to drive the wheels off the car. Most peoples opinion on here is that if something is breakable then Ill be the one to break it and I didnt hurt the studs so I have no worries.

No offence Chris, but the way your car handles will have a lot to do with the several grand worth of uber suspension on your car, rather than the fact it's been stripped.....

Might stick a cheap one in the passenger side as its rare for me to have a passenger.

So off to get the tyres fitted

With some tyres

And bolted to the car

Oh and the studs for those sad enough to care

So whats it cost me

Wheels £200
Tyres £233.54
Hammerite £30.29
Tyre Fitting £30
Studs nuts and tool £42.50
Fuel running around picking bits up £25
Wheel cleaner (prior to paint) £7.99

Total £569.32

Ooops, thatll be why im so skint this month.

Oh and to top it all off theyer actually heavier than the clones with tyres fitted, the tyres weigh more than the wheels.

Clone with tyre is 17.08kg, the TD is 17.68kg.
