Just start it,run it up so it's warm, then bring the revs up to 4k and sit them there for a bit (make sure the fans work beforehand, or disconnect the 'temperature plug' to override the fan operation) just to make sure that cat is roasting hot!! Then take it down

Which one is that? There's the two on the right of the manifold but wasn't sure which was which Haha. I'll just unplug them both. Fingers crossed if not I'll be going to Lynx...

Just dropped the car off for its re-test, and clearly out of sympathy the guy I've known for ages said he'll fix the remaining exhaust leaks and if that fails do something else to get it through

Not a particularly exciting update. I've been working like crazy so I haven't had any time to do anything.
Fit the standard exhaust back to the car for now until I can sort MOT. Don't seem to be any leaks in the system now so it could have been down to fitting, but that doesn't matter now.
 ![[Image: 20120802_173643.jpg]](http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q534/vlj91/20120802_173643.jpg)
Fitted to the car
 ![[Image: 20120802_175031.jpg]](http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q534/vlj91/20120802_175031.jpg)
Temporary exhaust hangers!
 ![[Image: 20120802_175043.jpg]](http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q534/vlj91/20120802_175043.jpg)
As I have to replace my rear discs & pads for the MOT - I figured it would be an ideal time to paint the rear calipers properly!
 ![[Image: 20120802_185705.jpg]](http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q534/vlj91/20120802_185705.jpg) ![[Image: 20120802_181849.jpg]](http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q534/vlj91/20120802_181849.jpg)

Also got some bits to fit this week which will keep me busy:
-Coilovers
-TRS strap
-K&N win cone
-Oil cooler (not sure if I'll fit this yet)
-Braided brake lines as they need replacing for MOT anyway

Will get pictures up when I have them. Cheers!

Just FYI, your exhaust should fail a mot if it's held up by cable ties but if you have a nice tester, he might let it go.

I have a hanger now, the cable tie was just there to keep it at least looking decent on my driveway!

		In these educational videos I:
- follow a black 306 for nearly 2 miles just so I can overtake him and show him how it's done
- show some twat with lexus rear lights how it's done.

Obviously keeping to national speed limit, and don't comment on gear changes.. :p
