So as some of you may or may not know my DTurbo has sunk to it's grave and has been broken at Fozzy's house.
Whilst I was there I picked up a Gti-6 from him. No tax or MOT and it was stripped as a track car so it does need a lot of work doing.

Current details:
- Full p3 conversion (of course..)
- Toyo T1Rs
- BakerBM Gear Links (ordered, fit Tuesday)
- SS Straight through cat back exhaust

Still to fit:
-Heater matrix (cleverly left it at Fozzy's)
-Full interior, car is absolutely stripped so full interior and various looms are to go back in
- New rear discs and pads
- Touch up paintwork in various areas
- Clean engine bay & paint manifold
- 40mm lower front and rear

I'll let the pictures do the talking.

If I had the time to help clear up I would have! I'll see you again later in the week. Definitely need that heater matrix...
Its 99% my mess anyway. Yeah might take the other matrix out of the bottom car just so you have a selection to chose from
Before I went to work today (up at 4 45 working on the car til 7 45... dedication!!!) and after work I set about changing the looms over and installing all the other wiring for CL so on so fourth.

At present the loom inside the car is stripped down to bare basics so I'll need to remove that and replace it with a complete loom, then stick in the heater matrix and can put the dashboard back in with the complete loom.

There's a lot more to get done before my already postponed mot.
Thankfully mechanically the car is completely sound. Cambelt will be changed once the car is officially road worthy.

Got 4 days off now so expect considerable progress Smile

Cant wait to see this Smile
Been trying to get things done this morning but the rain is making it extremely difficult.
The old stripped down loom is now out of the car, and the full loom and dashboard are in the car now - just needs to be plugged back in. Still got all the luxuries to wire back in but as I said rain is making it very difficult to get anything done.. hoping it stops but it's not looking likely.

As soon as new gear linkages arrive and it goes through the mot

So this afternoon the rain has stopped and I managed to get the interior in and swap the stripped rear loom for the full loom as I was tired of climbing through the car to open the boot

Its Eds car, you can hear it tapping all the way from Bognor

Trololololol
I think I would have kept it stripped lol. As soon as I'm back on the road I'm feeling mini meet?

Sounds good to me! We'll coerce Curt out too so there's 2 of Fozzys old cars out :p

I did suggest this, think of the weight saving, ide already done the hard work and got rid of all the useless things like electric windows central locking. even offered my cut down dash.

I have realised I can't be bothered making it all fit etc considering going back to the stripped loom but including audio into it as I don't think I could go without.
Alot of work to be done there mate, good luck i will be watching ninja
you don't need a stereo in a 6/rallye you have engine porn to listen to!!
damn dude, progress much!?!
you're a machine! i woulda got bored long ago, taped the clock to the steering coloumn, and stuck my ipod and some speakers in there for audio!
I feel like smashing my head against the wall. The hazards light switch on the complete loom looked stripped right back and I already had the idea in my head that I wanted the stripped loom in just to mot it... so start taking apart dash and loom again ready to transfer the stripped in and pull back carpet to disconnect rear, and there is the hazards box connector Sad what a waste of time
Finished for today. Got as far as I could with what I've got here, going back to Fozzys tomorrow to collect the rest.

Pictures are always better than writing
