Hi guys,
Having not got much information about timing belt replacement in my cars history (Apparently at 39k miles or something and I am at 92k except it was done in 2007 so like 9 years ago!!) but no real proof. I have decided to get it done
What kits would you guys recommend?
Mister-Auto has a fair few different brands.
Bolk - Febi Bilstein - DAYCO - Gates - Continental - SKF
Not going to bother with Bolk as they are like Mister-Auto's own brand ones so are probably cheap. Not sure who DAYCO are. Gates are apparently a good brand and continental are good as well. What would people think? I'd probably choose Continental or SKF as I know SKF are good for bearings etc as well.
The other weird part on that site is that sometimes there are two from the same brand. Too construction year 2000 and from construction year 2000. What changed haha? Mine was before 2000 so I'd get one of them of course but I'm just wondering if anyone knows the differences.
The choice for water pumps are
BOLK - Valeo - Febi Bilstein - Dolz - SKF
I would probably go for the Valeo or SKF ones as for an extra £4/5 they are probably worth the extra cost I would think.
