20/50 was what rich w advised and as he built the engine didn't have any reason to doubt it. He has used it many times before an never had this problem. It's all fixed now so hope it's all plain sailing again bwap bwappppppp

Unless you're racing and it's well over 120*C all the time, no need for anything like that... Mind I'm still surprised that's what caused the chain to snap, have you checked over the oil pump and confirmed the pressure? Sounds like maybe thr regulator is jammed and due to the oil being quite thick, the pressure would have been very high...
