I know its not a diesel but I really enjoyed my renault F7P. The electrics were utterly horrendous but the engine itself was great
My volvo B200 feels very diesel-y .... does that count. A few of them have done a million miles, makes an XUD look short lived
Other than that i have nothing to add to this discussion. Ford endura 1.8, 2.0 8v HDi, bmw 3.0, merc om604/6. Basically anything ive liked has already been mentioned other than the 1.5DCi, we abused and neglected the poor old clio and it didnt give a shit, between that and the DV6 it seems like most of the cars in the country have them now
