I take it you've lowered the idle on the back of the pump? If so then you need to rotate the throttle shaft back a spline or two, mark the arm on top of the shaft, take the nut off, lift the arm slightly and rotate the shaft with a screwdriver and push the arm back on top and tighten nut when right, this will lower the idle unless you turned it the wrong way lol.
