Yeah, I know, tell me about it! 
Worst thing is I think I must have left it under the bonnet of the car after using it to light the washer fluid spout...though it's not there now, so can only assume it must have fallen through the engine bay and dropped out the bottom after i drove away.
Both the phone and SIM have been blocked now though, so even if I do get it back, it's nothing more than an ornate paperweight!
Already been on the phone to O2, and they've processed my insurance claim, so I get a brand spanking new handset some time on monday.
