Unsurprising the downpipe didn't fit first time so will need retacking and retrying. It's sitting much better in the tunnel which is good so means after some fiddling it should fit nicely. It looks like it might be fouling the gear linkage bracket so that might require bending.
In other news the car is all back together. I'm going to have to unbolt the front end again to fit fans and some other shiz but fundamentally its all up together minus an exhaust.
Checked all lights, horn, brakes etc, seems to be good except for the handbrake which I couldn't figure out how to adjust so left for the minute.
Anyway, it needs a very good clean, the exhaust finishing, an air filter fitting and a boost controller then it's pretty much there for MOT.
Desirables include fitting strut brace, GTI6 brakes, boost, water temp, oil temp, EGT gauges and new hand brake cables I have all of which lying around.
