In theory, you will get a better spark considering you are running several thousand volt down them, you have less distance to suffer from any voltage drop but its going to be such a tiny amount, it just won't notice.
I did wonder though if its been playing up for a while though if I've been getting a weaker spark. We will see tomorrow when i go out and empty my fuel tank
