Problem is that typically the clutches are being asked to deal with considerably more torque than the manufacturers original specification.
An cheap 2nd rate brand clutch will likely work fine at standard power, but I'd have rather less faith in one coping with another 50% torque over and above that (and more to the point, continuing to cope as the miles clock up)
Given that all the cost is in the labour doing the swap (be it money or your time) it doesn't make sense to me to save a few quid on the parts cost, but that's just my 2p.
Valeo, LuK or Sachs and you won't go far wrong IMO.
