Surging xu10 when cold

My xsara vts whens it's first running I'll be driving out of my village holding about 30 in 3rd-4th and it's constantly like surging feeling it feels crap no idea what it could be just wondered if anyone else has had the same issue
Also it feels at its most powerful when this is happening.haha |
