Where's the argument for under the car when you've got to run all the other cables anyway? I don't get what you're gaining?

Less chance of chafing, less work, neater, probably a shorter run when you take into account all the bends etc in the cabin, less chance of damage from daily use (e.g people moving seats back and forth), less chance of any interference on the RCA leads.
