An XU box won't fit the TU and a '6 box doesn't work like that anyway, it's close ratio. Just replace it for another one. Although 1.4 'boxes are generally a weak point, so it'd be a gamble.

QFT. The 'boxes on the 1.4 are officially made of cheese, i had my old 1.4 for about 18 months, and it had one gearbox replaced, and the replacement was on its way out when i scrapped the car.
