You don't have to be a computer genius to load a map, just to write them. They're also not expensive if you know where to look. 
As others have said though, why would you want a HDi in a ph1/2 when you've got better spec on the ph3 anyway.
If you did want to do it, I'm not sure how the immobiliser would work with the older systems, you'd probably have to have the ECU unlocked I guess.
