So above 18degrees ish it stays the normal colour...its when the top coat is cooler than the base coat that it changes.
I would want it to be other way round personally. so when it heats up it changes to the black
Have a proper look into.it then
Its called thermochromic paint and it can be activated to suit
Some are black then when warmed it will go clear, a different colour or pattern it
