Look at my project and you'll see these fitted. They go in the little gaps on the square beam mounts, screw through the top to hold them in. Car felt a bit more stable while still having a bit of rear steer. They are a half way house between standard and solid mounts really

Better off buying some new mounts, Or just stick some hard setting rtv in the hole

Yeah I would think that would do the same job.
