Losing enthusiasm

Tom i completely fail to understand how you can moan about an Hdi in the wet because it doesn't have traction control. I managed to get my gti6 home down 17miles of backroads in about 6inches of snow on PARADA SPEC 2S without one single incident. I didn't wheelspin (unless I wanted to ), skid, or require the car to brake a wheel/cut the power/interfere in any way.

You've not just love the love for modifying, you've lost the love for everything by the sounds of it. There are cars you love, cars you like, and cars you just drive. How you can actually hate a car is totally beyond me. I ADORED my old 106 nad. I adored my old citroen zx even though it left me on the side of the road after shitting a driveshaft. I actually cried (a single manly tear) when Phil drove my dt down the road after buying it. I can't describe how upest I was at binning the '6. The new one is annoying me at the moment cause it has an ovalled hub, bent lower strut brace which rubs on the sump, I need to sort out the engine loom to fix my map sensor, My airbag light flashes, I've not had a chance to clean it for months, but I still love it to bits. By comparison, I dont particularly 'like' the gf's car. But it still managed to put a small grin on my face when I put a couple of bags of shingle in the boot; balanced the handling right out!! On a serious note about that car; it didn't matter if I enjoyed it as it was just a set of wheels to get me to and from work. I don't understand how someone can dislike a car?

anyway, rant over; I've been getting a bit down about mine of late, it's just horrible working on cars when you have to drive it to work the next day, and with it being dark when I get home dark when I leave for work it's not the biggest motivator. I have however been stockpiling parts, hopefully to fit some weekend after next (at least the new wishbone/hub, and hopefully wiring loom), and then the rest when I get more motivation. I literally cannot WAIT for it to get warmer and sunnier again though. GAD it's been fairly sunny all day and I already feel happier and am looking forward to getting outside more!
