It's not T16, it's a triple-rotor engine based on RX7 motors, I've got the engine picture somewhere his missus sent me.

So no major progress. Painted my air filter to match the rest of the purple, because I am a tart.

Probably going to get ear ache from the kitchen wench when she returns lol

Plan for the next week or so is to fit the TRE's that are staring me in the face, use aero catches to mount the front bumper and fit brake cooling ductwork from the fog blanks.

If I had a spare subframe I would do that...

i was planning on it but time restraints said no.

There is a stupid amount of gaps in the subframe and a scarey amount of gaps!!

They are more than adequate as standard but welding it along with a front brace and it will handle so well

What Niall said. They are only spot welded together. Well I say only. It will stay in one piece fine enough. This dramatically reduces the flex up front as it largely contributes to holding the front chassis legs still during load Smile

I saw someone a while back welding a few lengths of cut up ARB or TB to the legs of the sub frame that go up to the front mounting points to strengthen them up and further reduce flex.

They're end of line. Discontinued, so reduced to £3, plus my staff discount bought them down further :p

I actually hate this guy. He is always tempting me to spend my money. He knows my soft spots. You should've been a used car salesman haha.

It is a f*cking lovely motor. I have no chance of summoning that money though lol
