Much appreciated guys, but I have managed to source the part on ECP of all places. Such a wally Dodgy

Considering I need the car, spending a ludicrous £6 on this piece of crappy metal will have to do Sad

I don't know. I believe the retaining clip had worked its way loose so there was nothing holding the metal bar in. Silly design TBF

worth tying in a piece of strong wire, like for training plants with, on that pin that holds the slider on, then onto the caliper. so it cant come out.

Then you'd never get the pads out lol.

I'm gonna try some m2 bolts through the holes to stop the bar moving

And me and jonny b too. In fact i suspect half the forum has at some point. Its a really poor design.

Could try retrofitting 307 rear calipers.

IIRC the disc size is the same so oyuve gotta wonder how far out the bolt pattern is.

Might have a nosey on service bolox later.

Just been looking at a photo. You will need to make up something for the handbrake mount but other than that, cant see why it wont fit. Possibly custom lines as well but there might be enough room to bend the original about.

Yeah as with what Neil said. The bolt holes look really close. Depending on what you get the calipers off they come with M10 or M12 bolts.

Calipers are cheap on ebay if you want to try.

Edit: The discs are 2mm bigger

I shouldn't have thought that 2mm disc diameter would make any difference. Even if so, just use 307 discs.

How do you mean handbrake mount Niall? As in how the cable fits into the lever arm?

Yeah the fitting on the caliper end looks different. Might be adaptable though.

Look at the way the handbrake mech works. I think you will need to bodge something up to hold the cable housing in place. Alternatively, you might be able to use 307 handbrake cables. depends what the other end is like. Cant see it needing too much work though tbh!

Fairly substantial piston size difference though. Should make a big difference!

It looks like you can unbolt the lever arm? Could cut off and drill a 306 one?

If the cables don't fit the handle that is

Nah. 306 handbrake mech works completely different to that. The arm is at a completely different angle to that (Points in towards the car instead of towards the front)
Wouldnt be difficult to fit a 307 handbrake cable.

Might find the cables are a bit long, got to be worth a look though. Could cut the end off a 306 cable and weld a suitable tab on instead.

I've got to be the only sad fucker who is excited by a bit of steel bar turning up in the post.

Ill give a clue. It needs a 12mm hole in it.
