		Hi guys,
I planned on changing my gearbox oil today as when I had my clutch done they replaced it with some boggo standard oil from what has been said. I have the proper peugeot oil but forgot to get a  crush washer and don't know where to get one now. Any chance of re-using the old one? What about ptfe tape on the thread?
Thanks, Jack

Copper washer? Can reuse if you heat it up nice and hot with a blow torch first

Just use a copper washer. They sell them in various sizes in Halfords. Or just dont bother. Dont think mine even has one on at all and has never leaked a drop.

annealing only works well with solid washers, nothing unique about the size, pugs use 14 or 16 mm on most of their drain/level/pressure etc.
I bought a bag of 50 of each size on ebay for not a lot.

Oh yeah thats right. I dont run gearbox oil. My logic is if its not there it cant leak on my drive

Seriously though, dont know what you think is expensive but i bought a box of 200 various sizes on trade for about £5. Didnt think that was TOO bad for halfords lol

Oh, I meant the single copper 'sump plug' washers they do near the oil filters. Presumably OP doesn't want 200 of them lol.
