Yeah they're great camera's, and the solid build is what appeals. Just getting a bit long in the tooth now... and some new features are swaying me to go more modern. Buuut, having held the newer ones I was interested in, they just feel... cheap.

The d90 is ancient, don't think twice about getting a d7000 if you can afford it. Also grab a decent lens whilst you're at it, the 50mm f/1.8 is silly good for the money.

Those of you on my Bookface may have already seen these, but i know a lot of you aren't,so i thought i'd stick 'em up here as well.
Just been given a camera, a Sony DSC-H20, and ive been having a little play with it. Starting to learn what features do what, and have got a few pics so far, but these two came out really well i think.

3 of mine from last night. Need a taller tripod to get over the fence on the motorway bridge for a good shot without the fence in the way.
All taken with the trusty Fujifilm Finepix S4000 in manual mode

Use the distortion of the lens to your advantage, thats about the only advise for a fisheye really, its all personal opinion on what looks good and what doesnt, i think a fisheye can look really cheap if used wrongly, ill admit alot of the photos i take where ive used my fisheye i dont like. But then some i do, theyre very good for a single figure or item in the foreground and then capturing alot of the background aswell.
