The two shorter inlet manifold bolts on either side are becoming a pain.
25mm is too long even double nutted.
20mm is too short.
15mm is far too short.
Who's got a solution for me?
Got 20's in there atm but I'm sure that their causing a leak as they don't nip up tight!

Mindfuck. What you are describing is pretty much impossible mate. If 20mm is only just nipping up then 25mm should be fine, how can a stud be too long, the extra thread will just come out the back of the nut...

Yeh after reading this, if its spinning freely then the thread has been stripped in the block. Sounds like you need to helicoil it.....

Cutting bolts to length isn't an option.
As for "Washers..." not particularly helpful there Dave.
May well be that the threads are f*cked. Just as well I got a donor DTub looking sorry for itself.

Helicoil it then, simply drill it a tad and tap then put coil in and cut some bolts to size to fit simple, otherwise your going to change the head for the sake of a bit of drilling and tapping.
To cut bolts to size simply put two nuts on and lock out as u would to undo a stud, and use the nut as a guide in a vice so you cut it swuare clean end up and jobs a gooden. otherwise space out with some washers id probably put a locking washer on too but no other options really,
I will have same problem when i come to change manifold gasket as its passin on the block and egt a puff of smoke from above engine but helicoils are awesome piece of kit tbh
