As you can see somethings not right, this is after a half hour drive aswell, smokes white/gray as you can see, and on the 2nd rev you can hear it misfire at the begining, it's using water so i reckon the heads cracked, and maybe an injectors dieing?

no leaks, the lad i got the spare engine off said it used water, but we thought it would of been the HG, ever since we put the head on mine, it's used water, so it must be a cracked head? i didnt have it pressure tested, just skimmed.

That tick is a misfire, seriously get your head pressure tested, if your coolant isnt getting pressurised then I doubt it'll be a cracked head, whats your oil and water like? Do you ever join team orange engine bay? how do your temps sit.

With the head off, you could just helicoil where you've stripped the threads. That misfire probably is a f*cked injector, put your hand in the white smoke, does it put water on your palm, or if your really brave stick your head in front of it smell it, and see if your eyes water from strong diesel smell.

Smart move, any more driving could make it worse.

As already said really, just get your old head helicoiled while its off the car, then send it to be skimmed AND pressure tested. Its not that much more to have it done, but gives you piece of mind that everything is A OK.
