Yeah I seen this. Was gonna post up about it but u beat me 2 it. Tax must be higher than the £240 for pre 2001.

Latest registered hatch I saw on road was a 53 plate ex showroom. Obviously reg date and manufacture date would probably be way apart.

Other that that was a 52 plate NAD ex police.

Shame about the engine. I always found the 1.8 to be quite asthmatic but isn't it the case that the bottom end is actually better built then the 2.0 models? Meaning a hybrid is something pretty special?

the bottom end is great. the head is poorly cast and restrictive. The Dixons race car was running 220hp+ with a ported and polished head.

With my project the next thing to do is put a gti6 head on. gti manifolds and gti6 head should see 163hp. With the throttlebodies hopefully 170hp or something.
