Oooh, low mileage as well! Nice...

Wont be surprised if it goes for £800+ tbh.

Shame its a 1.8 petrol really. Registered 26th March 2003 :O

RE: 03 plate estate eBay - Orta - 03-11-2014

Yeah I seen this. Was gonna post up about it but u beat me 2 it. Tax must be higher than the £240 for pre 2001.

RE: 03 plate estate eBay - Eeyore - 03-11-2014

Shame its a petrol :/

RE: 03 plate estate eBay - Toms306 - 03-11-2014

I missed it being a petrol, just assumed a HDi! Doh

Tax is £280 in that case lol.

Latest registered hatch I saw on road was a 53 plate ex showroom. Obviously reg date and manufacture date would probably be way apart.

Other that that was a 52 plate NAD ex police.

RE: 03 plate estate eBay - Orta - 03-11-2014

I remember a while ago someone said they saw a 54 plate cabriolet...

I didn't notice it was a 1.8 either assumed it was a HDI too Sad

Saw this in the flesh loads of times. Only a seconds walk from me.

Shame about the engine. I always found the 1.8 to be quite asthmatic but isn't it the case that the bottom end is actually better built then the 2.0 models? Meaning a hybrid is something pretty special?

the bottom end is great. the head is poorly cast and restrictive. The Dixons race car was running 220hp+ with a ported and polished head.

With my project the next thing to do is put a gti6 head on. gti manifolds and gti6 head should see 163hp. With the throttlebodies hopefully 170hp or something.

RE: 03 plate estate eBay - af1 - 07-11-2014

Sounds like a good project!
