Its that time of year where i have to hand over far too much money to drive on that fine tarmac this country call roads
Ive been with Bell car insurance for the last couple of years as they have been competitive with my modifications.
I got a call this morning to work out a multi car quote on my HDi and my Wallye £988 (Hdi - £502 for a year with 2yncb, Wallye - 486 for nine months with 4yncb)
So what insurers are you with and who would you recommend for my mods?
Stainless Exhaust
Induction
Lowering
Uprated brakes

I'm with bell and they are pretty good. I have declared everything and on my 1.4 I pay £700. This is £200 cheaper then anyone else!

For those mods, I would recommend you give Graham Sykes a call.
They specialise in modified cars, and give you a discount for being with 306oc (Probably, when I got mine I said .net).
I pay £500 a year with all mods declared, with 1 NCB.
They prefer mods which don't increase engine HP, so those ones would suit well.

Puglove thats pretty good. I think i may have to press them a bit more when they ring back and see if they can get it any lower
And FYI 1wayD Elephant, Bell and admiral are all the same, The guy said this over the phone as he could look at my previous insurance on elephant and i think diamond are the same also as he found an old policy of my sisters.

I'm with Diamond and have been for 4 years, but they are the same as Admiral, Bell and Elelphant, and all will price match quotes between them. They're really no that bad, although their renewal prices are hilarious, so I always have to do the online quotes and get them to match it.
I phoned Brentacre for a quote on a 6 earlier in the week, and they quoted me £1500 Third part etc, and £1800 fully comp! That's without any mods I'm 22, driving for 3 1/2 years and 4 years no claims bonus, no accidents etc, but apparently I live in a shit area lol

how can you have 4NCB and been driving for 3.5 years?
Just got off the phone to adrian flux and got a quote for the HDi with mods tpft for £430 with emma on the policy £250 excess not too bad
They got the rallye down to £480 Fully comp for a year, shame i cant keep that price as only valid for 30days and my 4NCB will be up in april

With those companies you can do a 10 month bonus accelerator, so you pay for 10 months but still get a full years NCB. I also bought the car before I passed my test..

Im with admiral too, but last year renewal, bell gave me a cheaper quote... Qtf is that all about... and adding my girlfriend who only has a provisional and never even had a lesson... lowered the quote by 200 quid!

Oh yeah i forgot about that, i always see the 10month bonus accelerator as a bit of a con because you dont save what you have to spend in those 2months more than you save in the having a NCB
My girlfriend makes my insurance go up, but she has to be on it apparently

Tell scott to ring adrian flux and see about putting you on, they did a flat rate for me and added emma on. He did make me laugh when i said can you get it lower without her on it 'i havn't put price up when adding her, and you don't wanna get in trouble taking her off' haha

He's got a policy with Brentacre for his V6 though, so if I get a 6 it would be in my name, and I've been told it's cheaper without him lol. Don't think that would be allowed!

Ok i read that wrong originally, i took it as same with Scotts insurance and putting you on it.
Yeah its not allowed to have yourself as a named driver when you would infact be the main.
Is Brentacre competative on price, more so than adrian flux?
