Sorry guys patience is a great thing... ahum... next week the weather will be getting very nice, spring is in the air.... and then im also getting impatient

Challengers rule, just not on my car Wink

Deadline really is may... if i cant get it on the road in May, then ill kill it with fire

Porsche en Ferrari owners beware Wink (yeahyeah ill bring the Gopro Wink)
any progress on this.?
can't wait to see videos of this thing hunting for porsches Big Grin
Before you kill it with fire can we swap engines!!!

Get a move on will ya ha ha
Well this weekend were going to do some work on the car again, weathers been s**t, and no longer a excuse to do nothing.

Since i still have a pair of Cayenne/Gallardo Brembo 6 pots laying around, the 17Z versions (that fit 17" wheels)
And i had a look at my friends @ VVT their timeattack car, a 300+ BHP diesel Ibiza on 17" Prorace 1.2 with the same insane huge calipers, i want that too, so im getting them fitted to the 306

The 17Z calipers are made for 325-345 brakediscs, since im using 330er from a 407 V6 i can use the calipers to their fullest.

Heres a pic of how big they are ( this is with a 332mm disc)

first 306 with Lamborghini 6 pots in the world i think Wink
Want. Your updates make me question the point in my car, I love this car Sad

^ This. Sad Wish I had the time/money/insanity to do a build like this.

Well... I have the insanity, but neither of the former two!!

Surely this thing is gonna have both rear wheels in the air when you haul in on the anchors?! Tongue
If I pay fuel, please take me out in this I beg you
6 pots!!! Your face is gonna fall off haha
4 pots is for pussies Wink
Here they are fitted on the racecar, 17" Prorace 1.2 (7.5X17 ET35 with 18mm spacer), ive got 7.5x17 ET15

I need a tissue... Sad
i have got 6 pots under my 15's and they do stop you very well.
The calipers are as big as that mans head O:
What pad pattern are these, I have a brand new boxed set of Mintex 1166's here

They fit the gallardo, B7 RS4 etc if you're interested?
Tallguy maybe interested, i was thinking about fitting DS3000 to them..
But what do you want for them?

On my A3 with 370mm RS brakes i was running Pagid Yellow
I paid £228 +vat from cams kill, make me an offer...

I've always been a fan of Mintex personally, all the race cars we have had have always been supported by them

im not sure, but i think thats a pretty crazy price, since i only pay around 130 euros for a set of DS2500-3000 for these calipers, but thankyou anyways

Theyre not that big Wink

'not that big'

Either that's a size 4 trainer or I'm calling you a liar!

Can I have your challengers please? I'll let you know my address so you know where to post them lol
Hahah

Challengers are sold and gone with their new owner......
Well we did some trial fitting and sorting out the fuellines, and trying to figure the best position to route the compressorhousing of the turbo.

Decided to ditch the screamerpipe idea, almost ZERO space, and i think its nicer to hear the engine/turbo and exhaust then the screamerpipe when on boost (+ it saves a lot of work!!)
So were rerouting it in the downpipe.

Monday were sorting out the gauges and stuff... next week saturday its engine removal, get some small things welded.
And then were going to push the pedal and take some big leaps into the project... i want this thing on the road!
Bought a digital EGT gauge with alarm

We had a good look at how to route the ic piping, and things are pretty clear now, so when we fit the engine again, we can also sort the piping out.
Screamer pipe out the wing or bonnet Big Grin
I'd be worried about tearing off all the suspension components when braking hard with them things! They are HUGE!
yeah or tearing out the front end when accelerating!
Well a beautifull Monday to fiddle around with the French meatball, Marvin joined me and since the temps are on the more christian side now its a lot nicer to do something.

Also decided today was a nice day to get some yellow paint , new Lamborghini decals and do some spraying, im in the middle of it, so maybe later on tonight some more pics

Frontbumperinside needed some trimming to accomodate the IC, so it can come 1 or 2 cms to the front, so we can squeeze the mocal oilcooler between the ic and rad.

Marvin started with the mockup of the Ic piping, since the GT3071R is a big turbo we had to turn the housing and see what would be the best way to put it.
These things are timeconsuming ...
