Lucas pump, non turbo

I've been studying some diagrams, so am I right in thinking, the throttle arm travel affects the governor spring pretension hence the max rpm?

This would also explain why the stop screw had a stupid security cap on it and why it's a fine thread?

I've upped my max fuel already but if you've been following my thread you'll have heard it's still making power at 6000rpm...

I know I'm fine at 6k if I can limit it and that screw is the one that limits it?

Cheers for any guidance in advance.

You know what, I don't think the pistons and rods are even that much heavier than the petrol GTi pistons and rods, it probably would.
