Should I decat my 1.9 dturbo.

Is there much/any difference.

And would this 94 pre cat down pipe replace my 98 down pipe with the cat in.

yes and yes . . . . . .extra 2bhp before you even start tuning and more after that . .

i gained 7psi extra by decat so hell yeh

Really. Is that because it spool up quicker or getting the gasses out quicker.

My boost gauge should be here today or Monday so if I order a decat that will be here Monday so ill do a run with boost gauge before decat and one after.

Yes. Less pressure after the turbo meaning it can spool up quicker. Can also clear out the exhaust, this is what my old one did on the first pull after putting a decat on

Mainly I just wanted to know if the decat was the right one. But might As well get some info about it

Remove your back box and put a length of piping on,. then remove the inners from your centre silencer

No need to remove anything from the centre box there is little restriction in it just adds more noise if you remove it no performance gains really

remove the lot mate,i got no centre box just a cobra back box and 2.5" tubing.i was running 17 psi then had my exhaust made to fit and when i test drove it the boost guage flew round to 24 to 25 psi i was'nt expecting that much lol
