Under bonnet issues are all sorted realy.
Bit of tidying, remove the AC pipes left and sort the oil catch tank which still isnt catching oil and its done.

interior and exterior is another ball game.

but yes my smiles per gallon have gone up considerably...thus my mpg has gone down a bit Rofl

ok...no real update.

raised the beam by 10mm. so nice to have such a young beam in great nick thats all greased up...was so easy.

waiting for new winter tyres to be fitted to winter wheels as my 185/65s touch the bilsteins weirdly.

also made my adjustable compbrake shifter non asjustable and it kept coming apart. welder with a sleeve or two and some modifyin means now it wont come apart and 1st and 5th or more achieveable.

boost now also up to 1.3bar.

still fighting weird interference with stereo so ICE/boot/flocking install has stalled somewhat due to that.

spent many many hours tracing and testing...nearly there

oh n MOT due very soon Undecided

i have a random erge to throw fruit at your car as a result of jealousy
Thanks given by:

Thanks given by:
stereo HU replaced with cheapo JVC....now all fine. bloody thing.

1.3bar means 3rd gear wheel spins regular! lol

but weird slight high voltages...around 15-15.5v when driving....but no hot wires or problems. must keep eye on that.

also need some GTi front caliper seals to rebuild my brakes

Sooooo...

tried to go to minehead and back again...this time she made it there n back without missing a beat! happy days!!!

on a side note, got a leaking injector I think :-(

but sorted, temp anyway, my oil breather spitting oil everywhere:

lmao

This engine hates oil. Inside it anyway
Current stable

Thanks given by:
Guna go to pug dealer today and get a couple of pipes as some have perished and are seeping oil.

If I sort those, a new dipstick, the leaky injector and the breather....I may just have stopped all the dribbles.

Then I can reaccess the aux setup tensioner which looks like its on the skiv Sad Doh

MOT friday...wonder what he will think of my milk bottle?! Undecided
Wishes for more power...
Thanks given by:
lol this car looks so much fun, i shouldn't have thought the milk bottle will be an issue in itself - as long as it's nice and secure Tongue

cant you see the OEM cable tie!? Whats not secure about that Tongue

I want to get all these stupid gremlins sorted then I can begin flocking stuff and get the boost up to 1.5bar and release some more gremlins!!!

Oh yeah, did I mention the whinning through the stereo amp from the alternator has returned for some reason! Angry

Thanks given by:

so...it passed!

as you can see.

Weird advisories...oil leak is a fuel leak from the injector. Lowering isnt significant, and I know it is, so not sure why he put that. And its a diesel engine.....so?!
Advisories are there as something to correct within the next 6months, thats what the old MOT cert used to say, how do I correct that it now has a diesel engine....convert it back!??

Ironically, nothing at all was said about the ABS or AIRBAGS!!
Wishes for more power...
Thanks given by:
203 miles since last mot lol

has it always been diseasel?
