Question time....
#1
Power steering hoses small one from the bottle that runs across the front bumper and back? Mine has rotted and therefore the power steering fluid has leaked can I just bypass the massive and pointless length that runs across the bumper? Or is it needed?

Second is on radiator I have what looks to be a temp switch for the fans. But there's nothing plugged into it and cannot find any plugs that are loose. so do these have temp switch or is it wrong radiator? as the radiator does look bodged.

Next question I know I can search but the search on tapatalk isn't really that good.
Bosch fuel pump...
What exactly do I need?
How much should I be looking at to buy the pump?
Any instructions on fitting one?
Will I need a different sized cam belt?
What's needed to be replaced on the pump when using veg?
Winter.. What mix should I use for cold starts?

Think that's about all the questions for now. But will have more soon.

Pump, lines, injectors, the woodruff key that holds the pulley in place.

Anything from £40 - £100 depending on who you buy it from.

Get someone who knows what they are doing to do it.

I think the belt is the same, but seem you have it off best get a new one fitted and water pump.

Nothing needs to be sorted for veg, just need to change the fuel filter a few times as the veg will clog it up.

50/50 mix some go for more, but I have a feeling it's going to be a cold one this year.

The pas pipe I think is for cooling. But wouldn't know if its OK to run without

As for Bosch pump you'll need the pump line and injects. The bracket would be handy to or you can modify the Lucas one to fit
You may as well change the cam belt whilst your there too :-)

Mixes. I know dum dum used to run pretty much 100% all of last winter and only had one problem iirc so something like 80/20 should be OK or add some petrol/2stroke in there

Ok seeing as the power steering pipes are for cooling ill just replace them. Front end is coming of soon anyway.
If I can find someone local that knows what to do with the Bosch ill have one on this year. If not I will be after Christmas. I need to give it a service and cam belt anyway this week before it goes on road.

I did run pretty much 90+% veg the other winter, had to start the car on lighter gas down the inlet during the worst of it

Very good idea that. Smile. So ideally over winter if I want it to start fairly ok I'm looking about 45 litres veg 15 litres diesel?

Not sure when money will alloy for a Bosch but I'm hoping really soon.

look on your thermostat housing, if you have a brown plug there then ignore the rad sensor as it will have been replaced with a rad from an earlier model with a basic fan setup rather than having a fan controller

wouldn't worry about that sensor, never seen one plugged in...

Ok dude cheers for that will check I'm the morning. The top drivers side of the rad looks a little bodge with some brown shit which is what made me think its not original rad.

Just check the fittings. Bottom drivers side fitting is where it makes a difference iirc
