I'm a bit unsure how to fit it over the reverse wire gizmo?! Everything else looks simple as but what do I do about reverse wire holder?

well youve got no chance of getting the plastic clip off the shaft (giggidy) so i think best bet would be to glue the end of the cable housing to the shaft or what i thought, get one of the adjusters off of a bike brake leaver and weld it to the shaft in the right place. will do the job nicely.

Seen curt's does look cool but for some reason I want to keep it looking working standard,
I was thinking if I cut the plastic clip down Both sides it might snap off and then be able to glue it back on? Possible?
Or will look into bike cable retainer, got to be loads of things fit for purpose just thinking of them and finding them

I got the plastic clip off by cutting it, then used some very professional wee cable ties to hold it back against the shaft. also put a couple below it from memory to stop it sliding down.

I suggested this to Niall before. Go down the scrappy and find all the cars with lift for reverse. Amd see if theee is a system the can be TAKEN off and not cut/broken . Then adapted to work on the compbrake system.

well mines still in my bedroom looking shiny, so no fitting pictures.

someones done a guide somewhere, think it may have been niall, I may be very wrong though, but don't remember anyone actually saying what lentgh they set it too though which is something I'm going to have to piss about with.

would like to get it near right as I have a feeling I'll have to remove the exhaust/ heat gaurd each time to mess about with it.

Couldn't you just re-route the cable to somewhere else? So push a bottom or something somewhere to get reverse?
