TurbRo Diesel

Car is up for sale as a project for anyone interested:

http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-3955.html

Basically I think the turbo oil seals have gone, there is oil coming out of the pressure hose the boost gauge taps into, I need my car as a daily so gonna shift this to get something different as I don't have the ability to swap the turbo myself and workshops are too expensive Undecided

Its as it is in the project thread, apart from I have fit the boost guage into the center heater instead of the door pillar.

It has 4 1.9 205 gti alloys with pretty decent tyres, bought off Kingy at FCS not so long ago, and 5 of the other alloys it came with originally (one under the car and 4 off the car - 2 with tyres only a couple of months old).

Ive replaced the top mount bearings, drop links, ARB bushes and lower wishbones all within the last few months.

Its done approx 156k miles, was only MOTd and taxed a few months ago (will need to check exactly when).

MODIFICATIONS are approx 60mm drop all round, 205 alloys, ph3 lights, HIDs, Espace splitter, boost gauge, stage 1 tune (fuel and turbo increased), spongebob headlining.

It will come with everything minus the head unit and ipod.

Any questions please ask!

Not sure what its worth, so offers please?!

P.S it still drives fine, but probably not adviseable to go too far if the turbo oil seals have gone...

Forgot to say, car is located near Melksham in Wiltshire.

Could possibly deliver if its not too far (have access to a trailer) let me know!

3 door, its gold/blaze yellow. a few scratches here and there but no real "damage". its always been a good runner. no rust or anything that I have seen. it has no wheel arch liners because of lowering/wheels but I painted inside the arches with hammerite so probably better protected than original lol
The only history I have is the bits i've bought for the car since owning it

I have no idea what its worth...
Lets say £450 ono...?

It still runs and drives fine, but I dont wanna risk driving it if the turbo seals have gone.

I know I could sell the wheels for £100 at least and scrap it for another £150 so it wants to be upwards from there lol

Right, gonna take the gti alloys off to sell and either scrap it or sell it for the best offer over £150 (as thats scrap value!)

I completely forgot that its got a bit of a dent in the passenger lower sill bit, doesnt affect the car and can be easily filled or I have some sideskirts that i can chuck in that will cover it (these are unpainted, not mint and will require fitting!). I forgot as its the passenger side and I rarely go that side lol, its the previous owners handywork :-p

I believe the turbo oil seals have gone as there is oil in the vacuum hose bit you tap into from the boost compensator. It may not be this, who knows. could be an uber bargain for someone and an easy fix!

I will get some current photos tomorrow for anyone interested!

put it this way, it drives absolutely fine, boosts nice and hard and holds the boost ok. but when I was re-fitting the boost gauge found the oil in the vacuum/pressure line. as I rely on it to drive to work I didnt want to keep driving it in case it blew up or something. Not investigated it any further! if I hadnt seen the oil I would be confident it would make it fine because of how reliable it has been, but have been told its not adviseable to keep driving if the oil seals have gone on the turbo lol

when you first start it up its a little smokey, which i'm guessing is because its getting oil into the inlet via that hose. once you rev it up it clears.
when driving it there is some black smoke pre boost where i have stage 1 tuned (upped the fuel and boost) so could probably do with tweaking back ever so slightly if you dont like the smoke haha, but before I did it it was nice and clear.

regarding delivering as its my dads trailer and jeep I will need to ask him how much he would want for delivery and let you know, obviously if you wanna drive it then thats different :-)
