Those prices are winning! I wish I had the money to go for em now, unfortunately I have plenty of life left in my Mintex 1144s..... for now ninja

I'll be in touch towards Christmas for a set of these when I've gone through another set of discs n pads Tongue

As a side note, to anyone who reckons their brake set-up is rubbish; you more than likely need to upgrade your brake fluid and pads; I still stand by the fact that certainly for the gti6, a good set of pads and decent fluid is a far better route for all but serious track applications.

You offer them for a gti setup (283mm) and for the dturbo (247mm) what about for the xsi/hdi/1.8/s16 setups? (266mm)? I would be in the market for some in a month or so

If you want to trust our judgment or not that's up to you, but I thought I'd just mention it in the mean time until Stu comes and provides a few more details.

Sweeney, in fairness for the pad, it's not a bad price! Good pads cost a fair whack, unless you go to a more common fitment. IE Renaultsport Brembo pads are much cheaper because they're probably a more recognised pattern fitted to a few different cars, therefore the pads can be made to a pattern in greater numbers....

Sweeney, ordinary Ferodo pads are cheap, DS2500s are for fast road or light track-use, and are consequently a lot more expensive!! it's like the fact you can buy a full set of OEM replacement Mintex discs and pads for less than the price of a set of Mintex 1144 pads for the fronts only!

Really? Did you have 1144s? I was impressed with them tbh I only wanted the ds2500s because they're supposedly slightly better in hard use?

Yeah had 1144's. The Ferodo's do have better stopping power once up to temp, bit crap cold. Mintex better for daily use and lasted longer.
These Ferodo's are wearing thin after around 18k.

Overall for the price difference id stick with 1144's.
