Luckily had a new one lying round so fitted that

Also wired in a slimline fan to the original wiring so it comes on with AC button and fitted a new glow plug relay as it had packed up and some new solid linkages.

Going to betray my lack of 306 knowledge here, but why can you not go to the left of the rad with the return pipe from the IC rather than the convoluted route ?

What is in the way which isn't on the other side ?

The end tank of the rad prevents it from going that route.

That is a fair old route mate lol. Suppose its no worse than mine though

That's some pretty chronic extra piping there, got to be worth taking it through the washer bottle space and relocating that instead, surely.

Or run a ph2 rad with expansion tank seperate to get a bit more room down the side of the rad on the o/s

I suppose at least it's ally pipe on the run back so will give some extra cooling

It will be bloody tight getting the angle there but you can just get a pipe through between the expansion tank and the lower pipe inlet.

You bridge two pins on an a/c plug which means when you press the ac button it turns the fans on. There's a thread about it

I figured out when I got the slam panel back on and everything urged in the I can easily route a pipe between the rad and slam panel. So I will be getting that sorted next for more direct piping Smile

Yes what SamBarker says, very easy job and most of the time the AC doesn't work in 306's anyway so we may as well put it to use.
