Non-project maybe 205 DTurbo

Hi all

Been out of the scene for a good while but I'm back with a new tin can for a good 12 months and will see how it goes

It is a 205, and has just been converted to a 1.9dTurbo with some extra bits for good measure

It's the cleanest chassis I have seen in a long while, and with some little bits doing it shall be a minter!

Plan it to use it for 12 months as is, just doing little bits and pieces like Bosch pump, front fogs and maybe GTI interior then drop a GTI-6 in her and buy something else as a daily. She will then be taken to the Nurburgring before potentially selling

Might fit some alloys, or some C5 'steel' alloys, unsure yet, either way the budget tyres have to go!

Current spec/bits done since December

1996 205 1.8d 3dr non sunroof shell
GTI front and rear bumpers
306 d turbo engine with Garrett T2 turbo and fuel pump tweaked slightly, running 18 psi of boost
Fitted with new Cam belt, auxiliary belt + oil and coolant replaced
New Valeo clutch
New Nissens radiator
2.5 inch exhaust system
Pug 1 Off rose jointed gear linkage kit
De-powered and looped steering rack (May fit elec from 106)

205 gti  front lower subframe, wishbones & anti roll bar
new lemforder anti roll drop links
new pagid gti flexi brake hoses
brake hose mounting relocated to gti shell spec
Saxo vts front brake calipers with new discs

New Bilstein B4 306 gti6 front shocks with -40mm lower springs & new skf top mount bearing
New Bilstein B4 Xsara vts rear shocks
Back axle lowered 50mm fitted with 19mm gti torsion bars and a 22mm anti roll bar
Peugeot Partner van et24 14'' wheels with genuine centre caps
10mm rear hubcentric spacers with longer bolts (brings it to gti spec width).

One of those super cheap leases coming to and end and nothing around can match. So figured I'll try this for a while then see what's around in 12 months

I would keep the derv but I'm a petrolhead at heart and like revs haha

Saw this on eBay, looks a really decent car, just needs more power!

You CANNOT put a petrol motor in this... Wouldn't take much to get this far beyond gti6 performance!

Yeah she deffo needs more power, it's a bit meh at the moment
