Electrolysis cleaning service?
#1
Wanting to refurbish alot of the suspension components like hubs and calipers to help it get it feeling factory fresh and driving perfect ready for FCS

I know a little while ago folks on here started building their own setups. Would anyone still have theirs going and be willing to dunk a few bits for me ?  Inlove

Edit: Forgot to mention will pay for the time & Electric through beer tokens or even beer at FCS

I was looking at this the other day. I presume you've got a battery charger... So all you need now is like the quids worth of soda some water and some metal bars.

As above, that's all I use .

Soda crystals from tesco are a £1 for 1 KG last time I checked

Don't actually own a battery charger just jump leads. Perhaps now is the time to get one. Would something like this have enough juice for the job?

i guess so. I think it would just go slower but if youre leaving stuff overnight not sure it matters too much.

Buy a second-hand one, can get a much more powerful one for less monies and it's not like it needs to work well.

Thanks Ben but just finished assembling my setup, got it running overnight now to see how it goes. Water is already pretty brown so should be seeing some good results Big Grin

4 amp charger and low concentration of soda crystals left overnight
Result: very very impressed, caliper carriers almost come up like new. If they hadn't have been painted previously it would have been perfect

Any decent sized bit of scrap steel will do.

I use an old brake disc

I used some steel bar from b&q. Cut in half and bent over edge of the tub and then connected using some copper wire. Not much surface area though so will try and get an old brake disc like ben
