Oil brether woes

Oil brether woes

With the gt2052s fitted she began to pull the oil from the rocker cover into the inlet so i dumped the breather off to atmostphere.
I have no oil in my inlet pipes nor cooler.
Exhaust does not smoke any colour (nor does it soot unless the mafs unplugged).
Yet she consumes 500ml ever 2/3 weeks.
I believe it all to be coming from the rocker brether as im leaving faint rainbows of oil in my yard at work and the inside of that pipe is thick with oil.

Kinda stuck here. Its been suggested to me that the crank brether is possibly blocked and others say rings. Ive been told to check this pipe by a guy at work at also been told to have a spare as they go brittle

Also to add shes lifted the dipstick in the past

Almost sounds like your rings

I had the same turbo with the breather linked into the air intake and I had no oil being drawn through at all

Ahhh fair enough.. was my biggest fear but will run her into the ground then

if you're rings are gone enough to burn 1/2 litre of oil every couple of weeks you'd know about it.

you'd get constant smoke from the exhaust as its burned.

well again, if you're rings are knackered enough to pressurise the crank and have oil escaping your breather - stick your thumb over breather and give a rev from idle - will soon know if its pressurising.

mind your dipstick shoulda flown out by now ...

Dipstick has pushed up but that was due to the breather filter getting blocked. Got it piped down to the driveshaft and iy god covered in crap.
So no it dosnt usually push the dipstick.. only in extreme circumstances

sounds more like a leak from somewhere then, won't harm changing the breather hose

I'll give that a crack then. Been told to refit a brether filter and get the brether out from under the car
