There is a Saab 93 1.9tdi local. 120k miles. 8mth mot.
Had within last two months all brakes, tyres, belts and a service.
Guy bust his leg and now needs an auto.
Best engine but most problematic. It's the one I had in my vectra.. A map alone takes it to over 200bhp.
Things to look for are check the inlet manifold to see if the swirl bar is still attached.. New manifold time if not, or just blank them.
Usual EGR issues, blank it.
Boost solenoid occasionally clogs up on them, one bolt to remove & clean.
No DPF to worry about if it's a manual.
Not a bad engine the Z19DTH.
I know a chap near Ipswich who maps them for £90 odd, custom map he writes himself and he'll map the EGR out etc too. Proper mapping geek perfectionist.

Same engine I had in my Vectra as well...
Decent power output, 6 speed box, nice and torquey! Pretty poor fuel economy for a diesel motorway cruiser though, like 45mpg avg doing the same routes as the 180bhp Golf would avg 60mpg and a 135bhp HDi 55mpg.
Thermostat was broken on the one I bought, cost £70 to replace, genuine only at the time. EGR got stuck open so had to be blanked. Turbo was on it's way out when I sold it at 110k (bought on 99k, had already had clutch and DMF replaced at 77k). Didn't like cold starting without glow plugs which is odd for a CR diesel. Spring snapped on mine between delivery and my first drive in it, wrecked a tyre, ruined any trust for my ownership tbh. But that said, I did own it for a year which is longer than most 306s I've had!
With mapping, you can use MPPS but it's EDC16 afaik, bigger map and more likely to get bricked than the old EDC15 stuff.

Interesting...£500 eh...must have been high miles/tatty?
It says the power output in the spec list on there lol.
I'd be slightly worried about the clutch being changed then sold/px'd 500 miles later though? Why would anyone do that unless there were bigger issues!?
