Chopped the 206 in the other day, more issues kept arising and after all its put me through I've given up. Shame because I got 65mpg on the last brimful. I've got the Rallye in the garage for the winter getting no attention. And my new daily is an Avensis D4d Estate I picked up in a straight swap for the 206. 05 plate with 150 miles but every single thing works!!

With four ageing bits of French tin scattered between the driveway and my friends workshop, I suspect that the average psychologist would suggest I have masochistic tenancies...

'99 306 HDi Estate - daily workhorse for mile munching
'92 205 GTi - currently engine-less after I sold the GTi-6 engine from it and in the process of fixing some rust and putting it back together
'91 205 GTi 1.9 16v - tidy throttle 'bodied Mi16 funbox I picked up a few weeks ago, needs recommissioning after a long period of being laid up.
'90 205 GTi 1.9 - standard 1.9 GTi that I've been enjoying after getting it back on the road earlier this year

I'd probably have an easier life (and a lot less skinned knuckles) with something modern and Japanese lol

So much win in this thread!! Wish I had the space at my house for a couple of "projects", me and a friend are still working on his Talbat Samba Cab (engine in garage, car under a cover in the garden stage) and have just cleaned up a 1.4 meridian phase 3 with 47k on the clock, sold it for his dad but we both really wanted it, shame it was a 1.4 and a 5 door as was so tempted, driving it reminded me just how much I miss them, am holding out for a 3 door volcane but finding 1 that's nice is proving rather difficult D:
