I'm currently in contact with these guys, by what I've seen on the forum is it pro Steve who runs that business? Any testimonials from people?
Wanting to get my 140k hdi mapped, only done a mid to backbox conversion, I had my previous hdi mapped by a generic company, I was happy with those results but from what I've heard hdi specialists are the way to go!

It is indeed Steve who runs it, I've never seen a bad review of his work. Generic maps tend to be very poorly done and can cause all sorts of issues with the injection system.

And for £150 with egr blank included it's a bargain in my eyes. Lucky he's only an hour away!

Highly Recommend him!

I've got a stage 2 map with 1800 bar rail sensor and r70 pump from him, goes like stink and I've just got 700 miles out of a full tank.

Does he do other services like lower the rear?

I already have a complete straight pipe.. As I don't have the facilities to fit an intercooler I am limited to a stage one for the minute. Until one day I can be bothered to fit one as its alot of hassle. Can you run any higher psi boost without an intercooler or does it have to stay stock pressure aswell.

Settled then, I'll get myself booked in. Has anyone ever experienced slipping clutches from a stage 1?

I take it you don't fancy doing the map yourself, it's fairly simple

I haven't got any of the equipment to do it myself

Steve of hdi-tuning is shit hot imo, highly recommend him. He doesn't offer lowering services afaik.

Don't raise your boost without an intercooler, was a guy in portsmouth that went stage 2 without an intercooler, he cooked it in a few weeks.

Had Steve map my estate. Very happy with it and he is a really nice guy

It is known for the clutch to slip on a stage 1 but you got to remember a lot of the 306s are 15 years old with 100+k on the clocks and still be on original clutch so it's understandable some will slip

stage3 remap here with a bespoke turbo setup and intercooler, from him.. beauty of mine is he worked it with the standard fuel pump and rail sensor, i will be fitting R70 and 1800bar sensor at some point and going back to him for a more thorough map..

mapped for 26psi, smooth as silk, pulls like a train, quiet and tidy..

DEFINATELY recommend him 110%, he is gifted with the HDi definately

Thanks for the feedback guys! If you've got questions just drop me an email on remap@hdi-tuning.co.uk as I don't always get around to reading my PMs on here.

I tend to just do the remapping and basic servicing, if you want other work like lowering or intercooler fitment I beleive Poodle and Johnny are the people to talk to?

For clutch slip it's hard to promise anything if it's an old clutch, but most of them hold if I'm honest. If you've got a new clutch then you won't have any problems on a stage 1 map.
I'm also offering a discount on the online remap service, so it's only £75 to forum members.

Jonny and I offer most services, but not lowering rear beams - far too many potential issues.

Not sure whereabouts you are in Oxfordshire but if near to Reading, I have the bits to put a map on.

By the way, thoroughly recommend HDi Tuning for maps. Massive improvement over the previous map (much less smoke, higher MPG with same performance).

Just had a trip this evening to Steve at HDI Tuning. He checked the car over and advised me with anything that needed doing, once he had ran through that he took it for a test drive and then uploaded the map, he then took it for another test drive and told me the car is handling the map very well. When it came to driving home over 60 miles I was blown away by the transformation of the car. It pulls like a train, delivers the power smoothly and it actually feels like a quick car now. Very happy with Steves service and couldn't recommend him enough. Top bloke and he even threw me in a free hdi tuning sticker! Proudly put that on my car tomorrow, along with refitting the failed back box which somehow came loose on the way to Steves.
Cheers Steve, car feels incredible now!
