Just replace it. Could easily get an actuator in your pocket at a scrapyard Wink

The nipple broke off the actuator on mine so boost is controlled by fuel now like 4waydiablo's

De wastegate it, it'll be fine if you're running mild fuel anyway so wont overboost.

+1 for de-wastegated T2 at 22~28 Psi (I tweak fuel + LDA a lot).

If your only on a 9mm pump DWG will be fine, the most mine would ever hit was 30psi.

That's because no one jammed the gate shut, it'll blow open with high Exhaust Mani pressure...

Thats what was happening with my td04.
The petrol wastegate just wasnt strong enough...now replaced with the spring from a 325tds actuator, much better Big Grin

well..............its easy, 1) with actuator still in place weld around wastegate arm, 2) remove actuator, 3) enjoy lots of boost Tongue

It would be rude not to wouldn't it when its that easy Big Grin

Yeh the spring is either weaker than the exhaust pressure on the flap and giving way, or there isnt enough fuel Wink she smoking?
