I'll chuck up an update to this.
It went to FCS, I know its no show piece but was using the show date as a deadline to have it on the road, out the shed etc. Few people interested in the relic which is nice.
So...studs in the turbo
'ring' to bolt and weld to.
A little close to the M/C - need to re route a brake line
Myself and Frosty had fun and games with the N/S driveshaft one evening, evolved into a complete hybrid
But now it fits
Empty bay…splodged some paint over the front side bits and where the battery sat
Fresh radiator finally arrived so engine in on mounts and offered up – ignore the small cooler
Enough gap to run the cooler pipes
Original brakes vs. DT 266s
Piping shiz up and catching the bumper on
Downpipe in progress
And bolted up
Then lack of photos but basically got it together and fired up. Few test laps of the field and down the industrial estate.
Only wheels I had at the time to hand
Looks out of place but got to combe without an issue
And got back without a hitch too
So treated it to an oil and filter change
Been driving it since the weekend each day and drives rather well for an old nail. Got two track rod ends and a wheel bearing to do at the weekend.
