Just out of curiosity though, how does the tint stand up to fog lights?

Done a bit of research and I think I'm going with stained glass window paint.

Ah, now I have heard of this... I do believe that the heat could 'crack' the paint over time though. Maybe there is someone with the knowhow on this and the paint is better than I think, but I would ask if it has high temperature resistance Wink

Ive had no problem with the yellow tint film for 3 years.... When my fog light smashed it was the tint that held it together and stopped glass going everywhere. Brushed or painted always looks inconsistent to me. Film is super easy to remove and replace and is the cheapest option.

I second that Wink as for the paint, i was on about brush-on type...dunno about spray Confused

Is th film self adhesive and do you put it on the inside or outside? Also do you get 100% covered, around all of the bends perfectly? I wouldn't like it if not very tidy.

If you do it correctly (guides on youtube) then you can cover the majority of the lens. It is self adhesive and I would only put it on the outside (easier and away from the more direct heat of bulb)

Thats just me though Wink

Some people use heat guns at distance...or hairdryer to form the tint around the lens Wink

Hope that helps mate

Not too worried about the heat problem, can't remember the last time I used the foglamps. Want it to look good though. I'll check the video on YouTube. Cheers.

Well the videos are just guides of how to tint but tinting is tinting Wink They helped me out with some tinting some years back, americans can be boring to listen/watch but the videos on there are informative Wink

Yes there is. Some Ph.1s came with yellow foglights as standard.
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.

Use the film to do it, a more consistent look, easire to replace if it does get damaged and easier to remove if you change your mind.

I've done ph3 fogs and it's easy enough to do but easier if you take the lens off to do it. It's also easier to bend around some contours with heat from a hair dryer
