Paul's estate mk2 - air intake on
They're not a straight fit! Had to bend a lot of metal out the way probably took half hour

Got them 2nd hand but lynx engineering (rich w) sells the kit.

I've just replaced the rear beam mounts to solid items as well

Watching with interest regarding the turbo change. Been thinking about it myself, maybe once the 205 is sorted....

Don't suppose there is any news on the GTi6 bars and XUDT crank?

Gti6 bars are out

I need to pop to Ryan's to get the engine crane so I'll grab the crank while I'm there

I've got everything apart from the air intake sorted which is worrying me http://306oc.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?...20&page=10 same prob as Dr jekyll etc.

Other option is like what is shown on there and bring it up between the cambelt and bulkhead but I ideally want to retain the standard air box...

I'm going to do a bit of research and see what the 307 air intake is like for the rfh4

If not modify the 406 one I've got.

Do people just link the pipes on the egr warmer/cooler directly behind the rocker cover? I'll be doubt away with the whole egr system

If you've removed all the egr stuff, you should be able to move the air intake out slightly more to miss the egr port on the 307 hdi mani. Looks like there's enough space

What about cutting the egr port off and welding it for more space?

Was thinking of doing that to be honest, not too confident welding cast if I'm honest

Or using oval pipe for the upper section which goes into a 180 degree silicone reducer. Can't help on the welding other than you'd have to use a pack of dissimilar metal rods and try and preheat/controlled cool down. Seen it done before with good results.

Oi....

I've owned your old car for nearly 3 years I think now.

My silver gti was the longest standing that was 6/7 years I think

Scary thing is, I've owned a 205 for over 10 years now. Got my first one at 16 and I'm 27, had a brief break in between

Just seeing what angle I need to clock the turbo, nice and easy to clock these!

I'm guessing on a hdi its a banjo bolt on the oil feed? I'm going to whip the union connector out of the gt20, hopefully from what bash said it should fit. I'm planning on putting the oil feed at the same angle as the hdi turbo so I can literally just put the hdi oil feed on. Same with the oil return if the flanges are the same
