Best Budget Portable (Garage) Radio
#1
Mines died after 20 years of service.

Any cheap reccomendations, hasn't gotta be super powerful or anything.

Pref less than £40.

Must have FM/DAB.

Aux input would be a bonus.

Thinking Currys or Argos whatevers on offer?

Some of the wind up ones are quite good but are just pure radio.

If you want something mains I wouldn't be buying anything new, get yourself down to the local charity store or recycle and reuse and find something second hand.

Asda/Morissons used to have the best DAB radio's under 30-40 quid.

I had one of these at work, it got decent reception and the audio quality was really good for the money.

You can get blaupunkt DAB radios with an ipod dock at Sainsburys for 35-40.
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.

Pure one.
DAB/FM, Aux input, can get a rechargeable battery pack for them that lasts a fair while.

I have had one as a site radio for 3 years. It has been filled with water more than once, gets covered in dust and shite and still works, even with a wall tie for an aerial.

If you get the rechargeable pack it lasts for about 3 days on a good charge.

HTH.

Pure are usually really well made actually! Took one apart a while ago (as you do...) and was actually quite impressed! Was expecting standard cheapy Chinese crap, but it was really quite good!

The radio in my old workplace was made by Pure. It spent it's life covered in GRP dust and copper dust and didn't have any issues.
